Giving up flying to better swim and walk, King Penguins are unique among the bird’s family. The walk of the Penguins is one of the most extraordinary shows of bird’s behavior in the world. The place of their feet obliges them to a straight station; so they can only make very short steps, putting one foot in front of the other, and nodding their bodies. But if necessary, they can also move very quickly to the ground by lying down on their chest, then with the help of their legs and their wings, they can also run with such a speed that a man would have hard time to catch them running.
