Thailand has two faces. There are devastated places flooded by garbage and tourists, alongside pristine nature you have seen in photos and in the movie The Beach. Both tourists as well as a surprisingly large number of locals are to blame. You can google how waste collection on the streets works, how many tons of plastic end up in the sea every year and how much waste is shipped to Thailand from other countries. Waste Collection is a series of both staged and documentary photos that originated in Chiang Mai, Ko Lanta, Ao Nang and Bangkok, and shows the less flattering image of Thailand.

I'm an internationaly awarded photographer from Prague. I studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and my work can be found in the collations of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague as well as in private collections. I exhibited throughout the Czech Republic and internationally both at collective events and solo exhibitions. My photography reflects a contradiction between order and disorder both in physical world and a state of mind.
