I came across this mysterious old quarter of Seoul during my business travel - a close knit quarter of warehouses and workshops, where long forgotten by the neighbouring habitants; quietly and helplessly engulfed modern development. I spend a week with the habitants from the last remaining two blocks, documenting and capturing the melancholic mood of the impending disappearances. The photos were also a reflection of the importance of remembering our past, before detaching too far away from our future.‘"Arriving at each new city, the traveler finds again a past of his that he did not know he had: the foreignness of what you no longer are or no longer possess lies in wait for you in foreign, unpossessed places.” Italo Calvino, Invisible Cities
