The photographs in the "in Natura" series refer to the past; I do not imitate it, but seek to evoke it again. Scandinavians believe that nature will revitalize the body, and as a Norwegian artist I think about our perhaps unique relationship to nudity and the freedom of nature. Unfortunately, this freedom is not for all women on our earth. "When I float naked in the water - weightless... then thoughts, time and space disappear. The smell of hot rock - trumps all others… It has been here for hundreds of years before me… and will last forever… faint, deep, safe and full of memories…"
