Images Are Created By The Movement Of The Camera
  • Photo Date
    2019

With my camera I transform everyday objects into pictures that stand out from their material reality. Through the camera movement I dive into the hidden world of everyday objects, dissolving the contours of the motives. Thereby they turn, at the transition from real to fictional world, into abstract images that are imbued with the unique magic of metamorphosis. The camera seems to give us a different way of looking at our everyday life, in which the world is allowed to emerge anew in a poetic way. My pictures are an appeal to break down our self-created barriers and allow us to to develop.

I learned my photographic craft from the photographer and filmmaker Valentin Schwab. Over the last years I increasingly have abstracted my visual language. In my current work, I use abstract photographs to explore the representation of the subliminal, the ineffable, and the ephemeral.
