The last 4 years I photograph the 15-square-meters pond in my courtyard. For me it conjures a complete microcosm, a secretive private geography. I observe it with a double glance, external and internal, encompassing both the natural and artificial processes it goes through, in which my own mental processes are reflected. It is an act of irrational reflection and pondering. The pond is man-made, but in it nature rebels against the conventions of the perfect garden, and offers different aesthetic values that disrupt the order and introduce chaos. I see chaos as an opening for a new possibility.
