In 2021 I found myself battling Lymphoma for the second time. Photography helped to distract me from the disease. In this self-portrait I wanted to represent what it was for me: a game of mental strategy to be able to checkmate. This image was chosen among all those taken in that period because I think it is the most significant: my drugs become special pieces for a winning strategy.
