Featuring photographs taken on 35mm and medium format slide film, in London, Venice and Tokyo, Ascension explores the hidden territory of the mind and the heart, through the outer world of a visionary cityscape. Taken during a time of deep instability in my life, culminating in the birth of my second daughter and the death of my wife, the photographs reflect an inner journey that I needed to complete, through fear and uncertainty, to find lasting courage and clarity of mind.
