With the nearly 2.000 m2 volumes and extension designed by Herzog & de Meuron, Basel has a unique architectonic landmark, the Messe. The impressive exhibition center, the Switzerland’s most important congress hall and certainly one of the most important in Europe, is used to host prestigious arts events like Art Basel. Regrettably, this amazing structure is accessible only during exhibitions so it is basically impossible to join its amazing space without the usual crowd it is used to be known.

Francesca Pompei is a photographer focused on arts and architectural images. She is member of the board of Italian Association of Professional Photographers-TAU Visual and she is represented by the Galerie Bruno Massa in Paris. Her photos have been featured in exhibitions such as Art Basel Miami Beach 2012, Frieze Art Fair New York 2014,FOTOGRAFIA-Festival Internazionale Roma 2014, Art Fair Tokyo 2017, Architectural Digest Design Show New York 2018, Photokina 2018.
