Due to the tide and landforms of Taiwan, a unique way of fishing has been woven into the residents' lives with the environment, which shows the diversity of ocean islands. Fishermen adapted to local conditions and have symbiotic relationships with the ocean. Alternation of generations is exhibited regularly among the tides. "Stone Weir" is a historic landmark in Taiwan. It was almost lost due to modern fishing and aquaculture. Merely few local fishermen and culture workers dedicated themselves to conserving stone weir.
