William Shakespeare's Ophelia, from the drama Hamlet, is often portrayed as a symbol of innocence gone mad. However, once we realize that how young Ophelia was it becomes evident that her behavior is inextricably intertwined with the passion and excesses of an adolescent's under developed frontal lobe, which makes it difficult to manage her emotions and think through the consequences of her actions. She's really a symbol of the fragility of adolescence.

Her work reflects on the formation and loss of identity through everyday rituals that often go unnoticed. Her choice of subjects is heavily influenced by her experiences as a woman and a mother, the result is a series of intimate portraits and nostalgic landscapes that invite us to take pause. She is represented by Isolina Arbulu Gallery (Spain).
