For these series, Dorit draws on the rules of painting, constructing the picture for the camera with the original source in mind. She was assigned campaigns to bring the dream of several painters of Modernism, Fauvism, and Expressionism into the realm of photography and contemporary commercial needs. For Tahiti Board of Tourism, she photographed a campaign according to Paul Gauguin. For Mexico Board of Tourism, she photographed images after Frida Kahlo and Diego Riviera, for Victoria Secret after Henri Rousseau and for Caesar Palace after Lawrence Alma-Tadema.

Advertising editorial photography, specializing in destination, beauty, portraiture and children photography. Based in United States. After completing her degree in fine art, specializing in sculpture, Dorit Lombroso studied advertising photography at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. She embarked on her career as a commercial photographer in N.Y. where she became known for her painterly images. Her children photography illustrate traditional nursery rhyme books. Currently, she's working on a book about the children of the lost tribe of Bnei Menashe who live in North East India.
