People of the Scorched Earth is a collection of fictional landscapes and memento mori photos in the tradition of post mortem photography. The book is dedicated Fukushima, Chernobyl, the Amazon Rain Forest, the Arctic and glaciers everywhere. The images come from our ancient, primordial collective past as well as the post-apocalyptic future that already lives inside of us. -Nancy Oliveri NYC 2019
