Since 2000, my self-portraits proceed from a constant conceptual protocol and a same monochrome principle where my face tends to disappear. This particular fixity of the subject, this indifference, as if the image contained in itself its absence of limits, responds to a very ancient process of infinite temporality in a restricted setting that goes back to the Flemish primitives. Conceived in the memory of art history, Meditation associates the principle of the figure with the presuppositions of geometry : this reference to paintings formerly painted by other artists introduces in my own works

Since 2000, I make my self portrait in photography without photoshop recess, or specific light effect.
