I approached the photographing of these images (and subsequent post) with dual purpose; Firstly, highlighting subject matter that would normally be overlooked (dismissed as trivial if noticed at all). Secondly, I wanted the images to act as metaphors for the universality that permeates in both animate and inanimate - the common experiences we all share; life itself (however fleeting), isolation & loneliness, joy, sadness, communication and of course mortality.
