These images are selected from my series documenting Hope Spots, which are special places critical to the health of the ocean. They may be large or small, but are special in some way - perhaps being important nursery / breeding / migration routes, having large populations of rare or endemic species, or contribution to the carbon sink. I have a focus on areas which serve as important habitat to shark. Photographs are included from the Revillagigedo Archipelago and Sea of Cortez Hope Spots - both critical habitat for shark, Manta Rays, and numerous species of endemic marine life.
