Only recently I have started writing autobiographical poems. Most of them speak about my difficult path of acceptance. Because the great sensitivity in a world like the present one can be a condemnation. It tooks many years for me to realize that sensitivity is a gift. You can hear and see things that others don't but instead of crying in silence, you can live a deep life helping others to see and feel beauty. This poem is dedicated to all people. We often go through dark periods during our existence. The important thing is to always seek light and choose for life .

Monica Gorini lives and works between Milan and Lake Orta. After studying at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, she divided her time between teaching and artistic research. The work of years with blind people has opened the way for an art linked to sensoriality. Her sculptures are to be perceived with all senses but tactile research and attention to the matter are the constants that are also found in the paintings. The photographs and her installations concern social and environmental issues related to respect for human rights and the development of an ecological conscience.
