This photograph is from a series of nudes inspired by the work of Egon Schiele. His use of colour to emphasise different elements of his model's physique and the sensuous portrayal of feminine desire radiate beauty and are yet often haunting. Working with my friend Antonia who is a physical theatre performer I chose the colour blue to set mood and emotion. I selected this photograph because I feel that the beautiful and sculptural look of Antonia's physique and her erotic attire are very seductive - yet her own response to her allure is ambiguous, hidden underneath the large headpiece

People are at the centre of my photographic enquiry: their vulnerabilities, uniqueness, complex emotional worlds and the physical manifestations of their minds and souls. In my photographs I attempts to capture that elusive combination of personality and psyche, ratio and emotion, sensuous experience and physical expression of identity that we all possess, but rarely reveal. My work has been shown worldwide in Paducah Kentucky, USA, Miami, Cincinnati, New York City and San Francisco as well as in Berlin, Tokyo and Bristol and Bath in the UK.
