Rectilinear /ˌrɛktɪˈlɪnɪə/ adjective 1. in, moving in, or characterized by a straight line or lines: the rectilinear propagation of light 2. consisting of, bounded by, or formed by a straight line or lines In this series, Rectilinear, Ronan uses long exposure photography to capture painting-like images from moving vehicles, panning and tilting or other forms of movement. The lines and colors come together to give great depth and seem to even have paint strokes running through them. Born in Dublin Ireland, Ronan Considine moved to Vancouver at the age of 10. This left him with a unique perspective having seen so much of the world at a young age. As he got older and continued to travel, photography became part of his life and a way to share his experiences and the beauty of the world. He studied photography at Langara Collage and continues to travel all over the world but calls Vancouver his home.
