Each of the pictures of this series has been conceived as a kind of "visual haïku", telling a story with the greatest economy of means.

Born in 1973 in Burgundy, France, Arnaud Bathiard is a fine-art photographer specializing in black and white seascapes/waterscapes. Passionate about traveling, he has a predilection for austere landscapes he often treats in a minimalist vein, using long exposure technique. Lover of the Azores, Venice and Brittany, he frequently revisits these places at regular intervals with his wife Tiphaine, searching this familiarity which really allows to catch the essence of a landscape. His pictures have been exhibited in various places, including Paris, Bangkok, Malta, Tarrente and Venice.
