Faded Seahorse

The beauty of a natural shape is best seen in detail when a creature is static. The most static thing that may occur to a living creature is death. This photo of a seahorse was made in the Zoological museum in Moscow. I photographed it and cut it out of the museum environment, trying to give it a new life. It may well serve scientific purposes, but it also shows us the grace of nature and reminds of the finiteness of all living shapes.
