Urban Sketches

I would more properly describe the images submitted here as “Looking at the Street” rather than “Street Photography.” I work colors up and/or down to reflect the time of day and place. Mood and feeling are what I seek to photograph. I see momentary situations that instantly bring back memories, imagine short stories, invoke recognition somehow – I don’t know how. Any camera, software, techniques or styles are fair to use and mix when I explore how best to express what my mind is seeing.

My photo art begins with a digital camera and software. It ends when light, color, design, and mood harmonize to best express my vision. The image may look like a straight photograph, a painting, drawing, etching or sketch. Whatever works is what works for me. Even then, over time, images are open to more interpretation and adjustments. New skills, practice, and self-realizations are my continuous adventure as I create images
