Survival Is Justice For Silent Victims

  • Photographer
    Michelle Robinson

This self portrait is inspired by all the silent victims out there who are unable to seek retributive justice from the violence and suffering from their past as children. Not every child abuse victim is able to seek justice. Making the choice to break the silence is the transition: from child to adult, victim to survivor. As an artist and survivor, I utilise self portraits as a form of art therapy to visually articulate the struggles and triumphs I experience in my journey of healing.
