"Moving Spirits" is an evocative exploration of the soul's dance, captured through the ethereal lens of aerial photography and extended exposure. Over spans of 30 seconds, the ebb and flow of dancers' movements are immortalized, revealing a raw, emotional choreography that often eludes the naked eye. Against the profound black backdrop, every twirl, leap, and gesture becomes an intimate brushstroke painting an abstract tale of passion, dedication, and spirit. This series isn't just a testament to the physicality of dance, but a deeper dive into the very essence of the performers—their souls.

Michael Shi, is fine art and commercial photographer with international recognition (website shiyingxi.com). His on-going project, “Colors of Dance”, has received critical acclaim from within both the dance and photography worlds. His work has been widely recognized by many international awards including the most famous ones - PX3 (The Prix de la Photographie Paris), IPA (International Photography Awards), FAPA (Fine Art Photography Award), and MIFA (Moscow International Foto Award).
