The Noto Peninsula is known by some as "the Festival Peninsula" due to the many festivals held there. The Abare Festival in Noto-cho is the most exciting of these festivals held throughout the Noto Peninsula. The excitement of the festival culminates when men hit the portable shrine against a wall or the ground. I was impressed to see their bravery and sparks.
My name is Eiichi Yoshioka. I was born on September 28, 1986. In addition to photographing festivals in Kanazawa and the Noto Peninsula, I also enjoy street photography throughout Japan and overseas. My photography career was initially inspired by the incredible natural beauty of the Noto Peninsula. I have continued to be involved with the community ever since, seeking ways to contribute as a photographer. In April 2014, I moved to Monzen-machi, Wajima City, in Ishikawa’s Noto Peninsula, and opened an advertising office, Tsuki-Noto. Today, I focus on community-oriented advertising production
