As City Soleil Project made progress, I began to wonder what one can actually do to make change for the children in this little village where hope and despair coexisted. With musicians from Kansas City who were visiting to support the children, we initiated humbly and it did not take long to see a great crowd of children gathered at the door of the music school. Wipi was one of the kids who enrolled in the music school. Her love for music was intense. “What is your dream?” I asked. She answered confidently, “I will be a violinist.” I believe this answer will one day bring Hope to this land.
