My work is inspired by the phenomenology of color by producing scenarios to explore the limits of its psychological and spiritual implications. In Ausentes I use some of the pictorial movement Abstract Expressionism’s main characteristics, such as color fields, and large formats in which to submerge the bodies. The painting of color fields plays with a contemplative emotion, in which the viewer immerses himself in the large colored surfaces, living a synesthetic experience that connects emotion with what the eye perceives.
