The night of November 12, 2019; alarm sirens have announced the arrival of high water. But suddenly an extremely violent wind rises. In a few minutes a storm invades Venice; the water level reaches 187 cm, a record. The force of water and wind sinks the boats, destroys the brick walls. Many boats are literally raised and end up in the streets of Venice. A newsstand is undermined and dragged into the lagoon. The morning reveals a surreal atmosphere: Venice seems like a war zone.A group of Venetians toasts in front of my camera with a smile they want to witness the spirit of citizens always high
