I´m currently editing a photobook about my several Tokyo visits. The subscription contains cover + several double pages of this photobook. I'm fascinated by the supposed contrasts that always keep coming up in Tokyo, seen from a european perspective. The tension between individuality and conformity, intimacy and publicity, as well as other opposites that seem unusual or even incompatible according to the Western European cultural standard, fascinate me and are the reason for this book.
Andreas Kremer was born near Cologne, Germany, where he is still living. After his studies of information science he worked in the economy for many years. In 2013 he became involved with photography again, quitted his consulting job and hasn’t put down his camera since. 2015 he started to work commercially by photographing Architecture and Interior Design. Andreas still enjoys to do this, but he prefers to pursue personal projects. His first photobook about Japan/Tokyo was published August 2019 at KERBER Verlag.
