The border line between shadows and light is often small. Often we cross this line without recognizing it. Shortly before an upcoming thunderstorm this photograph was taken on the Swiss side of the French Alps.

René Algesheimer is an award-winning fine art landscape photographer. Engaged in the study of wonder. Born in Bingen, Germany in February 1973, he earned a degree in Mathematics and Music at the University of Mainz. He holds a Ph.D. in management from the University of St. Gallen, and works as scientist and Professor at the University of Zurich since 2013. René's true love affair with photography started in 2015 when he began expressing his love for the natural world in imagery.
