Blank Dreams

My work dissolves the boundary between photography and collage. I attempt to convey a visualized narrative of fragments I saw or read through my daily life. In my practice, I staged and arranged magazine cutouts, found objects and appropriated images from the Internet into a new photographic form. I used contemporary commercial imagery as my main visual source. Imagery from travel magazines and home design magazines carry a sense of what an ideal life is. By collecting these images, removing the commercial titles, reassembling them with all kinds of human figures, I created a dreamy utopia.
